Ive looked around the forum and have seen that some have asked for help in learning Khmer. I cannot teach reading and writing, but I do have the time to help out with speaking and understanding. I will try my best to help those who need if. If theres enough interest I may make YouTube videos to assist in your learning. If I'm not sure I will try to find out. So drop a comment if your interested.

About Me:
I was born in 1985 in the refugee camp of Khao-I-Dang , located 20 km north of Aranyaprathet in Prachinburi (now Sa Kaeo). I am the youngest of 3 children. I left Thailand and went to the Philippine and eventually arrived in the Colorado, USA, winter of 1989. I eventually moved to Long Beach, where I was shaped to be who i am today.

Besides regular school, I attended Khmer School at the local temple and also took private lessons. Though my literacy is still mediocre, my speaking and understanding of the Khmer language is proficient enough to translate and teach Khmer speaking and listening.

The Cambodian language consist of two recognized dialects. Standard Cambodian and the Phnom Penh dialect. I'm going to stick to try to stick Standard Cambodian for the most part. I really don't know where to start. So I'll start with basic hellos. And hopefully I can start uploading my voice soon, maybe with YouTube. I dont really have a lesson plan so if there is any question or topics suggestions, (hospital visits, restaurant, etc.) or how to pronounce something, please let me know and I'll be sure to do my best.
